Adobe Photoshop Rules! We all know that. I'd gander to say that if God were to use a tool to help him visualize creation, He'd use Photoshop. Now thats not blasphemy. The fact is no other tool has consistently proven its worth when it comes to image manipulation. In the right hands, photoshop can do the most ridiculous and mindblowing things as testified by these 26 Photoshopped Robotic Animals. The only fake thing in these images are the robotic parts. Everything else is real world photos! The level of composition, seamlessness and attention to detail is awesome.
So without wasting any more time reading my diatribe, head on over to see the full 26 Robotic Animals -}

 As a child, my favorite pass time was playing videogames. I loved them and still do. In the 80's videogames were quite primitive as compared to today's 3D realism. Games in those days were drawn with "Pixel Art". This is where images are created and edited at the pixel level. It has a very raw and archaic look to it when compared to modern vector and aliased bitmaps that we're so used to these days. The more popular form of pixel art is Isometric which has an almost 3D view because they are drawn at a 30 degree angle from the horizontal. It's fascinating stuff. Here are some of the most beautiful pieces of Pixel Art. Enjoy. Click for more inspiration --}

[...] if Photoshop was Batman, what would Illustrator be? Here are some possible scenarios:
Superman They’re both on the same side, but their methods are quite different, and as such they occasionally clash, though usually with a peaceful resolution. In this scenario, Illustrator is unquestionably the stronger of the two, with its polished and squeaky clean image(s). [...] Robin Photoshop is the head of the operation, here. He makes most of the decisions, calls most of the shots, while Illustrator is the younger, less experienced sidekick. Sure, Illustrator has a few good tricks – it’s flexible and acrobatic, but it lacks the vast knowledge of Photoshop.

 I love logo's. Especially simple and symbolic logo's. As designers, we always try to create shiny, glossy and colorful logos. In truth though, unless the logo is never going to be printed, there always has ti be a black and white version which can be ported anywhere. Therefore we must learn to first make our logos beautiful in B&W then we can worry about the shines and drop shadows later. The design, symbolism and message behind the logo can be clearly identified in these wonderful examples. Enjoy

"Bent Objects: The Secret Life of Everyday Things", is a series of photos from Terry Border who "specializes in bring food and ordinary objects alive - all with a deliciously dark sense of humour". The photographer uses inanimate objects, putting them in settings that attempt to try and understand them from a human perspective. Each photo is framed with exceptional timing and composition with questions like "What would an egg do if it met a roasted chicken?" The creativity is only made better by the underlying humour in the series. Highly recommended for photographers and creatives alike. See the full-slideshow at the Daily Telegraph.
