Our mission as Node Six is to harness the power of the internet and make it readily available to Uganda specifically and the world as whole.
Our History
Everything starts as an simple idea. Node Six began life as a division of Elemental Edge, a leading multi-media and visual communications solutions provider in Kampala, Uganda.
Elemental Edge has been in the web-development industry for over four years, and we realized that our clients have very diverse hosting and web development needs needs; ranging from clients with the simplest web-pages to those with the most demanding web-based applications.
We realized early on that we needed to assign a dynamic and talented team of programmers and designers to these clients, so we set up Node Six, began web hosting and started focusing on doing good work and providing excellent services.
Two and a half years later, we're still here, still doing an amazing job. We moved premises to Balintuma road, a sweet little place, and we are now proudly hosting more than 100 clients.
We must be doing something right. And we're here for the long term.
What we believe
The internet is here to stay, it's growth has been spectacular and explosive, and we believe Uganda is at the brink of a massive change in online experiences. What we want to do, as Node Six, is to gently and steadily guide Ugandans towards embracing the internet as an effective tool for communication, sharing information, interacting with people from all over the world, and for discovering a whole new world.
So how do we do this?
- By making internet services affordable.
- By making the web development process easy
- By developing or improving on existing tools that allow people to maintain their own web content
- By providing hosting solutions that are suited to the target audience
- By constantly improving ourselves in order to better help you, our clients
- By developing new content and web applications that connect the local people and gives them a place to discover themselves
- And lastly, by simply being here for you when you need us.
Ultimately, if we can help make getting online an easy and hassle free process for you, and if we can help you use the internet better, then we have done a good job, and we are right on track with our mission.
